Verdane funds seek to be the preferred investor and active owner of technology-enabled growth companies in Northern Europe. They provide flexible growth capital to fast-growing software, consumer internet, energy or high-technology industry businesses. The funds are distinctive in that they can invest either in a single company or in portfolios of companies. Verdane funds have invested in over 300 holdings over the past 15 years. Verdane Capital Advisors has 30 employees working out of offices in Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Helsinki and London.

Verdane signs agreement to sell JSB Group A/S to Gurit

Verdane together with JSB Group’s other shareholders have agreed to sell JSB Group to Gurit for an equity value of DKK 520 million, subject to closing conditions. Closing of the transaction is expected by mid of October 2018.

Verdane acquires Hylte Jakt och Lantman and Maskinklippet.se to create leading niche e-tailer in forestry, gardening, hunting & outdoor

Verdane Edda has acquired majority stakes in Maskinklippet.se, an e-tailer of professional machines and tools for forestry and gardening, and Hylte Jakt och Lantman, a retailer of forestry and gardening tools as well as outdoor accessories that include hunting gear. The companies will be merged with the goal of establishing a leading Nordic niche e-tailer, with potential for further add-on acquisitions.

Alder II AB (“Alder”), a Nordic investment fund focusing on developing sustainable technology companies, has together with the management team, signed an agreement to acquire 100% of the shares in Scanacon Intressenter AB (“Scanacon” or the “company”) from Verdane Capital VII K/S (“Verdane”).

Verdane invests SEK 150 million in Inovia - the leading Swedish big data and AI solutions provider

Inovia is the leading niche Artificial Intelligence (AI) consulting and solutions provider in Sweden. The company has developed a strong set of AI tools and frameworks, for example one of the leading AI based virtual assistants in the world (AIVA) and the leading Voice to Text application for Swedish. With Verdane’s investment, Inovia plans to accelerate the development and commercialisation of AI products and solutions and position the company for expansion to other Nordic countries.

Verdane Capital IX acquires two companies from Skagerak Maturo

Verdane Capital IX today announced it has closed a transaction with Skagerak Maturo containing Skagerak Venture Capital I’s and Skagerak Seed Capital II’s ownership in Zisson, a provider of cloud-based communication center software, and Penetrace, a provider of software tools to marketing professionals. The plan is to launch the companies internationally.
